My Story
Jui-Chi (Vickie) Lee is the AI Engineer at TerraIntel, driving the technical innovation behind the company’s mission to transform how environmental risks are monitored and managed.
In this capacity, Vickie leads product development and contributes strategic guidance to shape the organization's technical direction and long-term innovation strategy. She leverages her expertise to drive the development of core technologies, ensuring TerraIntel’s positioning at the forefront of environmental monitoring and analysis.
With a specialized foundation in geophysics and remote sensing, Vickie is recognized for developing novel algorithms in Multitemporal Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Interferometry. Her research has advanced the precision of land subsidence monitoring and fault creep analysis, tackling critical challenges in atmospheric error correction and pixel selection to unlock clearer views of the Earth’s changing surface. Her technical expertise spans geodesy and geophysical modeling, allowing her to apply rigorous scientific methods to complex environmental data challenges.
Before joining TerraIntel, Vickie served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Factory Mutual Insurance Company and completed her Ph.D. in Geosciences at Virginia Tech. Her academic journey reflects a global commitment to scientific excellence, including visiting research roles at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany, the University of Padua in Italy, and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan.
A prolifically published researcher, Vickie has authored or co-authored 21 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals such as Nature Cities and Remote Sensing of Environment. Her contributions to the scientific community have been honored with multiple awards, including the Certificate for Outstanding Contribution to the Rosetta Mission from the European Space Agency.
